Snake Bite Awareness Session – 2026 May 22
Malabar Medical College Hospital & Research Centre organized an academic awareness session titled “Osmosis: Snake Bite – Decoding Envenomation, Bite Marks & Management” on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 8:15 AM in the CME Hall, 7th Floor, Hospital Block.
The session was led by Dr. Ajith Bhaskar, who discussed various aspects of snakebite envenomation, identification of bite marks, emergency response, and modern management protocols.
The programme aimed to enhance awareness and preparedness among healthcare professionals and students regarding snakebite emergencies, which continue to be a significant public health concern in many regions.
Faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns attended the session. Organizers emphasized the importance of early recognition and timely intervention in saving lives affected by snakebite incidents.
