Dr. K. C. Soman is a highly experienced general surgeon and academician who joined our institution on 1st July 2025 as a Professor in the Department of General Surgery. He brings with him a wealth of clinical expertise and a longstanding dedication to patient-centered care and ethical surgical practice.
Dr. Soman completed both his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from the prestigious Government Medical College, Calicut, one of Kerala’s foremost medical institutions. His academic training was shaped under the guidance of some of the region’s most respected surgeons, equipping him with a solid foundation in clinical medicine and advanced surgical techniques.
Prior to joining our institution, Dr. Soman served as Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at Kannur Medical College, where he provided leadership in both clinical care and academic programs. Before that, he also held various academic and clinical roles at Government Medical College, Calicut. He was actively involved in the management of complex surgical cases and played a significant role in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
