He completed his MBBS from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College Bangalore in the year 1991. He joined for diploma in Psychiatric medicine at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College. His previous assignment was with Al Shifa Hospital, Perinthalmanna.
