Dr. Vivek Gopinathan is experienced in managing medical emergencies, critically ill patients, and complex cardiovascular conditions requiring urgent intervention. He joined us in July 2026 as Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
He completed his MBBS and DNB in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Thrissur. He also underwent postgraduate training in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University, USA.
Dr. Vivek has a strong academic background and extensive clinical experience in emergency and acute care. His expertise includes the evaluation and management of critically ill patients, emergency cardiovascular care, and evidence-based clinical practice. He is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while actively contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
With his dedication to clinical excellence, professionalism, and academic development, Dr. Vivek is a valuable addition to the Department of Emergency Medicine and will further strengthen the department's commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
