Dr. Paul O Raphael is the Medical Director of MMC Hospital and a Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology. A seasoned anaesthesiologist with over 32years of clinical and academic experience, he is known for his calm precision, his commitment to patient safety, and his leadership in resuscitation training and public health awareness.
Dr. Paul completed his MBBS at JJM Medical College, Davangere, and his MD in Anaesthesiology at Father Muller Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore. He also completed Advanced Health care Management course from IIM & AIIMS Nagpur. He has served at several reputed healthcare institutions, most recently Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur, where he was active in both academic and clinical practice.
He joined our institution in March 2022 as Professor & HOD in the Department of Anaesthesiology and now also serves as Medical Director. He is a nationally recognised trainer in life support and resuscitation, and is respected by colleagues and students for his experience, teaching ability, and dedication to advancing anaesthetic care and emergency resuscitation practices.
