Dr. George P Jacob is a seasoned academic and public health specialist, currently serving as Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at our prestigious institution. He joined the institution on 18th April 2022, bringing with him a strong academic background and a deep commitment to advancing community health.
Dr. George completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and went on to earn his MD in Community Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, both institutions of repute under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Karnataka.
He has a special interest in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), focusing on prevention, early detection, and control strategies at the community level.
Dr. George is known for his practical and student-centric approach to teaching, blending epidemiological concepts with real-world applications. His work continues to inspire students and strengthen the department's role in community-oriented medical education and research.
